Rate Limits & Pagination

Learn how to manage request throttling quotas, cursor and page-based pagination, default date ranges, and advanced search operator parameters across SOCIOAPI endpoints.

System Limits & Throttling Overview

Standard Rate Throttling

Default developer tier API keys permit up to 60 requests per minute. Enterprise tiers feature dedicated proxy pools with custom higher limits.

Page Size Boundaries (size)

Retrieval batch size is strictly bounded between 1 item (min) and 100 items (max) per page request to optimize payload throughput.

Default Date Range (start_date / end_date)

All temporal search endpoints operate on an ISO date format (YYYY-MM-DD). Defaults to the last 30 days if omitted.

Sorting Controls (sort_by / sort_order)

Supports sorting by time or engagement with ordering choices of desc (newest/highest) or asc (oldest/lowest).

sort_order	string	desc \| asc	Sorting direction. `desc` for newest/highest first, `asc` for oldest/lowest first.

Advanced Text Search Operators (`keyword`)

The keyword parameter accepts boolean operators and grouping syntax for granular dataset filtering:

Matches documents containing either word.

AND Operator (Space)banjir jakarta

Matches documents containing both words simultaneously.

NOT Operator (Minus -)cuaca -hujan

Excludes documents containing the term after the minus sign.

Exact Phrase Quotes (" ")"kecerdasan buatan"

Matches the exact multi-word sequence strictly.

Grouping Logic (( ))(energi, terbarukan) -fosil

Combines boolean logic parameters into nested precedence expressions.

Note on Search Performance:

Wildcards (*) and fuzzy/typo searches (~) are disabled across SOCIOAPI gateway nodes to ensure optimal search performance.
