Terms of Service

Last Updated: October 22, 2026

Welcome to SOCIOAPI. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before accessing or using our website, API documentation, developer platform, or data extraction services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, generating an API key, or accessing any part of our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions of this Agreement, you may not access the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms govern your use of the Service provided by SOCIOAPI ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms apply to all visitors, registered developers, enterprise customers, and others who access or use the Service.

If you are agreeing to these Terms on behalf of a company, government agency, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to bind such entity to these Terms.

2. API License & Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use our REST APIs solely for your internal business operations or product integration.

  • You may query endpoints in accordance with your allocated credit limits and plan quotas.
  • You may cache and store raw API responses for operational efficiency, provided you adhere to data freshness and retention policies outlined in our documentation.
  • You must not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying infrastructure code of our scraping engines.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service or assist any third party in doing so. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Using the Service to harvest personally identifiable information (PII) for illegal profiling, harassment, or spamming purposes.
  • Bypassing or manipulating our rate-limiting protocols or authentication mechanisms.
  • Launching Denial of Service (DoS) attacks or flooding endpoints beyond authorized parameters.
  • Using retrieved data in violation of applicable global privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and local data protection regulations).

4. Credits, Billing & Payments

Our Service operates on a credit-based consumption model and subscription plans:

  • Credit Deductions: Each API call consumes credits based on the complexity and endpoint tier (e.g., Search vs. Bulk Detail extractions).
  • Non-Refundable: All credit purchases and subscription fees are non-refundable unless explicitly agreed upon in a custom enterprise contract.
  • Credit Expiration: Starter and Pay-As-You-Go credits remain valid according to the terms specified at purchase. Monthly plan credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle.

5. Account Security & API Keys

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account login credentials. Any activity conducted using your API key is deemed your sole responsibility. You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access or compromise of your credentials.

6. Service Availability & SLA

While we strive to maintain 99.9% uptime, API availability is dependent on underlying source platform structures and network conditions. Enterprise plans covered by an explicit Service Level Agreement (SLA) shall receive support and credits according to their executed agreement.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All trademarks, domain names, API documentation, logo assets, and platform technology are the exclusive intellectual property of SOCIOAPI. You retain ownership of any proprietary code, algorithms, and applications built using our Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SOCIOAPI and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

9. Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your API access immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you violate any provision of these Terms or engage in activities that threaten the security or stability of our infrastructure.

10. Modifications & Contact

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or system announcements. Continued use of the Service following modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
